Brasswork privacy policy
Last updated and effective October 10, 2026. Previous: October 8, 2026 version
This policy explains what information Brasswork LLC ("Brasswork", "we") collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers our websites, apps, browser extensions and online services, and our support email and phone line.
The short version: we never sell your personal information, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't track you across other sites or let others do so. Apps and extensions that run entirely on your device and don't connect to the internet collect nothing; their data is stored only on your device.
What we collect and why
- When you contact us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and what you write. If you call our support line, we receive your phone number and any voicemail you leave; voicemails are recorded, may be transcribed, and are forwarded to our support email. We use this to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.
- When you visit our websites. Our hosting provider processes technical information, like your IP address and browser and device type, to deliver our sites and downloads and protect them from abuse, and may keep server logs for a limited time under its own policies. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate, such as which pages are viewed, which site referred the visit, and the country, browser, operating system and type of device. It doesn't use cookies or similar storage on your device, and it doesn't identify you or follow you from site to site.
- When you use our apps and services. Apps that run only on your device collect nothing. An app or feature that connects to the internet collects what it needs to work, and may collect crash reports, diagnostic information and usage data (such as which features are used and how well the app performs) so we can keep it running and improve it. Where an app store's listing has a privacy or data section (like Apple's App Privacy details or Google Play's Data safety section), that section describes what the app collects. App stores may also give us crash reports and statistics that they collect, under their own privacy policies.
- When you buy something. Purchases made in an app store are handled by that store, which may share limited purchase information with us, like an order number. If we sell anything directly on our website, a payment provider processes the payment. Either way, we never see or store your full card number.
Our websites don't use cookies for analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider, and a payment provider if you buy something on our website, may set cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the site, process payments and protect against abuse and fraud.
How we use it
We use information to provide and support our products, answer you, keep our products and website secure and working, understand in aggregate how they're used so we can improve them, handle purchases and refunds, and meet legal requirements. We may use information that has been aggregated or de-identified, so it can't identify you, for the same purposes.
We never sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising. Because we don't track you across other sites or let others do so, we respond the same way whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers that help us run Brasswork, such as hosting, email, customer support, payments and other software tools we use. App stores and payment providers that sell or process a purchase handle that information under their own privacy policies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or when it's needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, Brasswork or others, including to prevent fraud.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold, but no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, then delete it or keep it only in a form that can't identify you. Our providers may keep backup copies for a limited time after that, under their own policies. We may keep information longer when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off an app's access to your device's features in your device settings. Some features may stop working when you do. To remove an app and its data, see our support page.
You can email [email protected] to get a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, withdraw consent or have it deleted; we reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm the request comes from you, for example by asking you to write from the address the information belongs to. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.
If you're in the EU or UK
We use your information to provide what you asked for, for our legitimate interests in keeping our products secure and understanding in aggregate how they're used, to meet legal obligations, or with your consent. Our providers may process it in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where a provider offers safeguards for these transfers, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, we rely on them. You can also object to or restrict our use of it, get a portable copy, or complain to your data protection authority.
Age
Our products are for adults 18 and older and aren't directed at children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as our products, our providers or the law change. When we do, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Before a material change takes effect, we'll post a notice here and, if you have an account with us, tell you by email or in the app. Changes apply going forward: unless you agree, a material change applies only to information collected after it takes effect.
